Into the Unknown
Into the Unknown is a personal passion project where I got to illustrate and create a story that was meaningful to me. This book dives into the vast universe of childrens' books and interactive print design. Each spread contains interactive elements like popups, die cuts, accordion folds, pull tabs, and more! The book's content takes you through a girl's journey of self discovery through space. Each page represents a new value that is gained while coming into adulthood.

About the Process
This children’s book began with the essential phase of storyboarding, where the narrative’s flow is visually plotted to ensure a cohesive storytelling experience. Concurrently, character design is undertaken to bring the story's protagonists and antagonists to life with distinctive traits and personalities, making them relatable and memorable for young readers. Choosing a color palette is another vital step, involving careful selection of colors that not only appeal to children but also resonate with the book’s tone and enhance the emotional impact of the story. Each page of the book is designed to include a unique pop-up element, which adds an interactive dimension to the reading experience. These pop-up components were meticulously prototyped and then integrated seamlessly into the digital page spreads. Both visual appeal and functionality were crucial to this project The combination of digital illustration techniques and interactive elements aims to captivate the imagination of young readers, making each turn of the page a delightful surprise.
